Third Blog of the Day!

This is my favorite opening line and totally gonna use it for my speech :)

Ladies and gentlemen. We are gathered here today to recognize something magical. Something that has seemingly disappeared in our society. Something so rare and beautiful, we have come together to partake and share in the joy it gives off. I am of course talking about the open bar

Stuff

So, I've actually been pretty successful so far with this whole speech thing. Most of the writing occurs while I'm driving. I'll say something awkward and Chris will polish it so every word in each sentence is carefully constructed.

Anyway, here's some more:

Not to take too much credit, but this is all my fault. Because we believe firmly in cliches we went to Vegas for my bachelorette party. The night before, Gen confided in me that she was so tired of hearing guys compliment her on her hair. She already knows it's glorious, she doesn't have to be told. So the first night when we went dancing and Kirby walked by, turned, looked at her and said words she had always wanted to hear, he immediately peaked her interest. And those words were, I like your glasses. They spent the rest of the night together but it was I who put her number into his phone.

Still needs a little polishing but this part's almost done :)

Next, need to mention how they drove a ton for the next few years. I know Gen has the number somewhere...

Chris told me I can't say this...

So I'm pretty much the reason why Gen and Kirby are together and yes, it's my fault they've gone mad driving like a truckers every weekend but hey, people do crazy things when they're in love. Anyway, I wanted to say this but won't because it will probably weird people out:

I'd like to take a moment to bathe in all your thanks. Chris told me I couldn't rub myself in it but now it's in your mind so you're welcome.

After a very long period of not working on the speech, I've had a breakthrough! Quickly! I must write this down before I can forget it.

Hi Everyone,
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Beth. I am Genny's most delightful sister, her favorite sister, and her only sister.
I've known Genny since she was born. And trust me, she's got some wedding experience. Yes, she was my maid of honor, but oh, it goes back further. From barbies, to stuffed animals, to even hamsters..yes hamsters, we performed many wedding ceremonies. No one was safe from our matrimony machinations. Even though I'd like to consider Genny and I wedding masters, you know, gotta wed them all, I'd like to think today is the most special wedding.... for her.

It begins...

So yeah, I've spent not too much time working on my MOH speech for gengen. She's made it clear that I have legit competition for the best speech as Kirby's cousin Ken is naturally a hilarious sort. So yeah, it's time I hunker down and think of things to say... so here's what I got so far:

Yeah... that's all I have so far but it's definitely a work in progress. Trust me, I could do a whole speech on our hamster adventures so I'm trying to dial down the craziness by mentioning it once and not divulging into a rant about how awesome hamsters are...


Note: should not say "we married anything we could get our hands on" because that implies we married ourselves to our hamsters which is weird. Recently changed it to "performed ceremonies"

My Sister's Getting Married Ya'll!

Genny! Genny! Genny! Genny! Genny! omgomgomgomgomg you're like totally engaged and stuff and yes, you've been that way since like four months ago or whatever but omg I'm you're MOH and Imma bring down da house with my speech of awesomeness! Just get ready. Like totally prepare yourself for my clever, brilliant...ness... of everything! *starts dancing like there's no tomorrow. So today. Today is the day I begin to prepare for the speech of a lifetime. Today is the day I gets mah brain wheels going. I am excited. This will be a challenge and I am up to it. W00t.
